The International Committee for Museums and collections of Natural History (ICOM-NATHIST) is one of ICOM’s specialist International Committees.

NATHIST is concerned with the conservation of biological, paleontological and geological diversity in museums collections as well as in the natural environment, the scientific study of the world’s natural heritage and the education of the wider public through museum displays, conferences, field trips, etc.

It provides a point of contact and a forum for professional interaction for all those who work in museums with natural history collections as well as those in institutions having similar aims such as Zoological and Wildlife Parks, Botanical Gardens, Aquaria, Nature Centres, Paleontological and Geological Sites etc.

Let’s change the world together.
